We will depart from Vancouver in the morning and begin the travel. The tour duration already includes lunch and rest stops, traffic delays, and driving hours between each location throughout the day. Located near Mission, this facility focuses on raising salmon and sturgeon, supporting conservation and replenishment of wild fish populations. Visitors can learn about the hatchery’s operations, from egg incubation to juvenile release, and see firsthand how these species are nurtured before returning to local waterways.

Established in 1965, this 3-kilometer channel was created to expand spawning habitat for sockeye salmon, as well as smaller numbers of chum and pink salmon. It can host around 45,000 spawning adults and ensures a steady flow of clean water, protecting eggs and young fish from flooding or freezing. As an extension of Weaver Creek, it allows many more salmon to spawn naturally than the creek alone, making it an ideal location to witness the salmon’s remarkable migration and life cycle.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit Harrison Hot Springs, a renowned resort town less than two hours from Vancouver. Known for its soothing natural hot springs and surrounded by breathtaking mountains, it offers a perfect blend of relaxation and scenery. Stroll through the picturesque streets, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, or bring your own meal to savor by the shores of beautiful Harrison Lake. With its inviting atmosphere and stunning views, Harrison Hot Springs is a favorite getaway for visitors year-round. Time allotted for this destination includes lunch time.

Finally, we’ll visit Fort Langley, the birthplace of British Columbia. Strategically located on the banks of the Fraser River, this former Hudson’s Bay Company fur trading post was once a bustling hub for trade, settlement, and cultural exchange among Indigenous peoples and European settlers. Walk along the palisades, step inside recreated timber buildings from the 1800s, and immerse yourself in the stories of salmon, cranberries, and the thriving commerce that shaped the region’s history.
