Built in 1894, this cannery was once the largest of its kind, earning it the nickname the "Monster Cannery". Now it is a Parks Canada national historic site with exhibits and programs sharing the history of Canada's west coast fishing industry.

Once home to First Nations fishers, boatbuilding workshops and canneries, this popular waterfront park is now visited by many for scenic walks, picnics, and annual events including the Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival.

The Fraser River estuary is home to thousands of local and migratory birds. The George C. Reifel Bird Sanctuary is over 800 acres and protects over 250 species of migrating birds from across North America.
