Stop at: Vancouver
Start your day with a short drive to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal and get ready to sail through the beautiful Gulf Islands towards the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal. Keep your camera ready for seagulls, islands, whales and maybe even dolphins! Tour guide will arrange the itinerary. The BC ferries company that you will take on the tour will depend on which one is available on that day. Please ask the tour guide for more information.
Stop at: The Butchart Gardens
Step into one of the most beautiful gardens in the world. The Butchart Gardens is a horticultural masterpiece, featuring themed gardens that range from vibrant floral displays to serene Japanese and Italian sections. Meander along pathways lined with colorful blooms, take in the fragrant scents, and enjoy the peaceful ponds and fountains. Perfect for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike, this garden is an iconic Vancouver Island destination that shouldn’t be missed. The temporary itinerary for the closure of Butchart Gardens during the period 19 Jan – 1 Feb 2026 we will visit Butterfly Garden instead.
Stop at: Victoria Butterfly Gardens
When Butchart Gardens is closed (January 19 – February 1, 2026), the itinerary will be adjusted to visit Victoria Butterfly Gardens for a 90-minute experience. Explore a tropical indoor paradise filled with thousands of colorful butterflies, exotic plants, and cascading waterfalls. It’s a magical escape for all ages and perfect for photography and nature lovers.
Stop at: Victoria’s Chinatown National Historic Site
Victoria’s Chinatown is Canada’s oldest and the second oldest in North America, full of history and cultural charm. Wander its narrow streets, admire ornate gates, and explore local shops, markets, and cafes. Surrounded by cultural landmarks and close to downtown Victoria, it’s a small but rich glimpse into the city’s heritage. Even a brief stop offers insight into Victoria’s vibrant multicultural past.
Stop at: Inner Harbour
Victoria’s Inner Harbour is one of the most picturesque waterfronts in the world. It’s a small stop with a big symbolic meaning, making it a fun and unique addition to your Victoria itinerary.
Stop at: Victoria (Swartz Bay) Ferry Terminal
Conclude your day with a relaxing ferry ride from the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal back to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal in Vancouver. Reflect on the sights you’ve seen, from stunning gardens to historic streets, and enjoy the scenic views of the Gulf Islands once more. It’s a peaceful way to end a day of exploration.
