Main Beach-Thetis Lake

Experience the true beauty of Victoria by exploring Thetis Lake. Thetis Lake is actually two freshwater lakes (Upper and Lower Thetis) connected by a narrow culvert. It was established as Canada's first nature sanctuary in 1958. Once on the water, we'll head straight to Upper Thetis, and go under the bridge towards the sanctuary and away from all the crowds.

Everything you need to get on the water will be prepared for you. Your paddle boards, paddles, life jackets, dry bags, and waterproof phone cases will be waiting for you on the beach.

What you will learn on your Tour:

We'll guide you through the proper techniques which will aid in the following:

- How to properly size your paddle
- How to hold your paddle
- How to perform a proper forward and sweep stoke
- How to safely stand up on the board
- How to get back on the board with ease
