What to Expect
Stop at: Cavendish
The Ultimate Anne of Green Gables Private Tour begins with short tour of historic Charlottetown including St. Dunstan’s Basilica and Province House. The Basilica is open daily for visitors. The Gothic interior is a must to see
Stop at: Province House National Historic Site
Our next stop will be at Province House, the Birthplace of Canada. As Province House is closed for renovations, we will make a brief stop and your tour guide will explain the significance of this heritage building to the birth of this great country of Canada.
Stop at: Anne of Green Gables Museum
On our journey to our Silver Bush, we will drive through rolling hills, farmlands, and oceanside roads leading to Silver Bush which is the location of the Anne of Green Gables Museum and is the inspiration for 4 of Lucy Maude’s novels.
Stop at: French River
Our next stop will be at French River for a photo stop. This is one of the most photographed spots on Prince Edward Island.
Stop at: Lucy Maud Montgomery Birthplace
As we make our way to Cavendish, we will have a brief stop at the birthplace of Lucy Maude Montgomery, for photos.
Stop at: Green Gables
Our next destination is the Green Gables Heritage site in Cavendish. This area was the inspiration for the Village of Avonlee featured in many of the Montgomery novels. 1 hour stop.
Stop at: North Rustico Harbour
A coastal drive through Cavendish Beach takes us to North Rustico Harbour (a working fishing harbour), the North Rustico Light House for a photo stop
Stop at: Charlottetown
We will then return to Charlottetown through the rolling hills of New Glasgow.
