What to Expect
Stop at: Bow Falls
Ten thousand years of ice, stone, and raw mountain power — narrowing to a single thunderous moment right in front of you. This is Bow Falls. And it does not whisper.
Stop at: Hoodoos Trail
Ancient sentinels carved by wind and time. These are not rocks. They are the patience of the Earth made visible — 65 million years standing still, waiting for you to arrive. Element : Earth · Deep time · Stillness
Stop at: Two Jack Lake
Two Jack Lake The lake that mirrors the sky. Calm enough that you cannot tell where the mountain ends and its reflection begins. A place that teaches us: stillness is not emptiness, it is fullness. Element : Sky · Presence
Stop at: Lake Minnewanka
Banff's largest — and oldest. Beneath this water lies a submerged town. You choose your own time here: board the famous boat tour (tickets from May 12, not included), walk the shoreline, explore Stewart Canyon, or simply sit and let the Rockies come to you. "IMPORTANT NOTE: The boat tour on Lake Minnewanka — that one is yours to book directly at the dock." Element: Water · Depth · Your pace You're on water that has a town underneath it. A real town. Submerged. And the captain will take you right above it. Tickets start May 12th. I'll make sure we time it perfectly.
Stop at: Banff
Banff Town · Lunch The mountain town that grew up inside a national park. Lunch on your own — I'll point you toward what suits your family. Rest · Nourishment · Story
Stop at: Mount Norquay Lookout
Mt. Norquay Lookout Your highest view of the town laid between peaks. Then the sign — not a cliché, but a declaration. Your 2 included photos are taken here: real, composed, cinematic. Not a snapshot. A memory. Height · Memory · Your portrait
Stop at: Banff Town Sign
It looks like a photo stop. It never is. This is where families go quiet for a second — without knowing why. Where someone pulls their child a little closer. Where the person who "doesn't do emotional" suddenly does. It's the weight of a place that was chosen to be kept. And they can feel that, even before you say a word.
Stop at: Vermilion Lakes Viewpoint
The sacred marshlands at the foot of Mt. Rundle — a wildlife corridor at golden hour. Elk wade here. Eagles drift. The mountain watches. Very few tourists find their way to silence here. We do. ELEMENT: WATER Wildlife · Gold hour · Silence
Stop at: Banff Gondola
You choose the ending. Rise 2,281m above sea level for the view that changes your relationship with the horizon — or descend into the thermal springs that sparked a nation's first national park. Or you choose Cave & Basin, which requires entry (not included). The choice is yours, the story is ours. Element· Sky IMPORTANT NOTE: Gondola tickets are not included — you purchase those at the COUNTER. Worth every cent."
Stop at: Cave and Basin National Historic Site
Cave and Basin. This is the spot. The actual spot. Where two railway workers stumbled into a warm cave in 1883 and accidentally started a nation's greatest decision — to protect this land forever. You'll walk into a cave that breathes warm air even in the middle of a Canadian winter. You'll stand beside a spring that has never stopped flowing. You'll see the oldest swimming hole in Canada — and the tiny blind snails that live nowhere else on Earth. It's quiet in there. The kind of quiet that makes you feel like you walked into something ancient that was waiting for you. Tickets are not included — you purchase those at the entrance. I'll be right here when you come out NOTE : YOU HAVE CHOICE EITHER TO GO TO GONDOLA OR CAVE AND BASIN
Stop at: Surprise Corner
"And this — nobody knows about this one. I'm not supposed to have a favourite. But if I did — it might be here. No name on most maps. No lineup. No gift shop. Just you, the mountain, and a view that makes every other viewpoint feel like it was practicing. This is what happens when you stop following the crowd and start following someone who actually knows these mountains. Welcome to the corner that changes the whole day. ELEMENT : FIRE . SUNSET
