What to Expect
Stop at: Lake Louise
At Lake Louise, guests can explore the scenic shoreline, visit the Fairmont Chateau, or enjoy a peaceful moment with glacier views. Those who want a bit more adventure can take a short 1.1 km (15 min one way) hike to Fairview Lookout for a beautiful elevated view of the lake and hotel. A popular spot for photos, light walks, and lakeside relaxation.
Stop at: Peyto Lake
Peyto Lake – one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in the Canadian Rockies! From the observation deck, you’ll see the lake’s unique wolf-head shape and its bright turquoise color, created by glacial rock flour mixing with the water. Surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks and pine forests, this stop offers one of the best photo opportunities in Banff National Park.
Stop at: Bow Lake
Bow Lake – a peaceful and stunning mountain lake along the Icefields Parkway. Visitors can enjoy incredible views of glaciers, rugged peaks, and crystal-clear turquoise water. It’s a perfect spot for photos, a short walk along the shore, or simply to relax and take in the calm beauty of the Rockies.
Pass by: Crowfoot Glacier
Crowfoot Glacier – a fascinating natural landmark named for its original shape resembling a crow’s foot. Although part of the glacier has melted over time, you can still admire its massive ice formations and the way it glistens on the slopes of Crowfoot Mountain. The viewpoint offers spectacular scenery and a great chance to see one of Banff National Park’s iconic glaciers up close
Stop at: Banff
Guests will have free time to explore the charming town of Banff — visit shops, grab a coffee, enjoy mountain views, or take photos by the Bow River or Banff Avenue with Cascade Mountain in the background.
Stop at: Surprise Corner
At Surprise Corner, travelers will enjoy a scenic stop with a stunning view of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel framed by the Bow River and surrounding mountains. It’s a perfect photo spot and a great way to see Banff’s “castle in the Rockies” from above.
Stop at: Lake Minnewanka
Lake Minnewanka – the largest lake in Banff National Park, known for its deep blue water and fascinating history. Surrounded by majestic mountains, it’s a perfect place to enjoy scenic views, boat tours, and short walks along the shore. Beneath the surface lies a sunken village, making it one of the park’s most interesting and mysterious spots.
