What to Expect
Stop at: Parliament of Quebec
Inspired by France's Old Louvre, the Parliament is an architectural jewel where every statue tells a piece of Québec's history, blending First Nations, French, and British heritage.
Stop at: St. Louis Gate (Porte St. Louis)
We will have a look at the fortified city walls and gates, a UNESCO World Heritage treasure that still embraces Old Québec.
Stop at: Pole Culturel du Monastere des Ursulines
Founded in 1639, the Monastère des Ursulines was home to cloistered nuns who opened North America's first school for girls. If open, we'll step inside to admire the magnificent gildings crafted by the nuns themselves.
Stop at: Hotel De Ville De Quebec
We’ll pause to admire City Hall and its surrounding gardens, a picturesque setting. A perfect moment to discuss current projects and challenges facing our UNESCO World Heritage city.
Stop at: Notre Dame De Quebec Basilica Cathedral
We'll admire the magnificent Notre-Dame de Québec Basilica-Cathedral. If open, we'll step inside to see its spectacular decorations and one of only seven Holy Doors in the world, an extraordinary spiritual symbol reserved for rare jubilees.
Stop at: Seminaire du Quebec
We’ll pass through the quiet courtyard of the Séminaire de Québec (if open), one of North America’s oldest educational institutions. You'll feel as if stepping back into history!
Stop at: Cathedral of the Holy Trinity
We'll also see the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, the first Anglican cathedral built outside the British Isles, a reminder of the city's British chapter. If open, we'll step inside to feel the warmth of its wooden interior decorations.
Stop at: Terrasse Dufferin
Dufferin Terrace is a grand wooden promenade offering sweeping views of the St. Lawrence River. Here stands Château Frontenac, the world’s most photographed hotel and a symbol of Québec City’s elegance and charm.
Stop at: Royal Battery
The Royal Battery is a stone bastion built in 1691 by Governor Frontenac to defend Québec from ships on the St. Lawrence, now beautifully restored with cannons overlooking the river.
Stop at: La Fresque des Quebecois
A massive fresco celebrating more than 400 years of Québec’s history through colourful portraits of key figures, from explorers to artists.
Stop at: Quartier Petit Champlain
We’ll finish our stroll along Rue du Petit-Champlain, one of the most charming streets in Canada, filled with cozy boutiques, cafés, and artisans’ shops nestled at the foot of the cliffs.
Stop at: Place Royale
Our journey continues to Place Royale, the very birthplace of French America, where stone buildings and cobblestone streets echo the daily life of Québec’s first settlers.
