What to Expect
Stop at: Lake Louise
Start the day at the world-renowned Lake Louise, known for its turquoise waters, surrounding snow-capped peaks, and the beautiful Fairmont Chateau on its shores. Spend time taking photos, walking along the lakeshore, or simply soaking in the incredible scenery.
Stop at: Moraine Lake
Moraine Lake (replaced with Emerald Lake and Natural Bridge in winter) – Visit Moraine Lake, nestled in the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Its vibrant blue color and breathtaking mountain backdrop make it an iconic stop (available during summer only). In winter, you’ll be taken to Emerald Lake, whose frozen landscape is equally stunning, and Natural Bridge, where the river carves through rocks, creating a natural spectacle.
Stop at: Bow Lake
Enjoy the serene beauty of Bow Lake, surrounded by rugged cliffs and a reflection of Bow Glacier in its still waters. This is an ideal spot to pause for photos and take in the panoramic views.
Stop at: Peyto Lake
Head to the Peyto Lake viewpoint, where you’ll witness its famous wolf-shaped form and mesmerizing blue color. This high vantage point offers breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding valleys.
Stop at: Crowfoot Glacier
Stop at this natural wonder, where you’ll see Crowfoot Glacier clinging to the mountainside. Your guide will explain its significance and the history behind its distinctive “three claw” shape.
Stop at: Johnston Canyon
Walk along a scenic trail through Johnston Canyon, where waterfalls tumble through narrow rock walls. During winter, you’ll witness frozen waterfalls and icicles that turn the canyon into a winter wonderland.
Stop at: Bow Falls
Witness the powerful Bow Falls as they rush over limestone rocks near the base of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. It’s an ideal spot for photography and learning about the Bow River’s role in Banff’s ecosystem.
Stop at: Mount Norquay Lookout
Take in a sweeping view of Banff and its surrounding peaks from Norquay Hill Lookout. This viewpoint provides an ideal panorama of the valley, Banff town, and Mount Rundle.
