What to Expect
Stop at: Nikola Tesla Statue
The Nikola Tesla Statue on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls honors the legendary inventor Nikola Tesla, whose pioneering work with alternating current helped make large-scale hydroelectric power possible. The statue depicts Tesla seated with a notebook in hand, symbolizing the ideas and innovations that helped harness the immense energy of Niagara Falls. It sits near the Table Rock Welcome Centre, overlooking the powerful Horseshoe Falls. The monument celebrates Tesla’s lasting impact on modern electricity and Niagara Falls’ role in the early development of hydroelectric power.
Stop at: Journey Behind the Falls
Journey Behind the Falls is one of the most iconic attractions at Niagara Falls, allowing visitors to experience the power of the waterfall from a unique perspective. Guests descend about 125 feet by elevator and walk through tunnels carved into the rock behind the falls. Observation portals open directly behind the rushing water, where you can hear and feel the thunder of the cascade. The experience also includes outdoor viewing platforms at the base of Horseshoe Falls, where visitors get incredibly close to the roaring water and mist. It’s a short but unforgettable way to experience the immense force of the falls.
Stop at: Table Rock Welcome Centre
The Table Rock Welcome Centre is the main visitor hub located right at the edge of the Canadian side of the falls. From its viewing terrace, visitors can stand just steps from the brink of Horseshoe Falls and experience the incredible roar and mist of the cascading water. Inside, the centre offers restaurants, gift shops, washrooms, and access to the popular attraction Journey Behind the Falls. It’s one of the closest places you can safely get to the falls and serves as a starting point for many Niagara Falls experiences.
Stop at: Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls is made up of three separate waterfalls: Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. Horseshoe Falls, located mostly on the Canadian side, is the largest and most powerful, known for its curved shape and massive flow of water. American Falls sits entirely on the U.S. side and features a wide cascade that crashes over large boulders at the base. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls is separated from American Falls by Luna Island and is named for its delicate, veil-like appearance. Together, these three waterfalls form one of the most famous natural attractions in the world.
Stop at: Niagara City Cruises
The Niagara City Cruises is the famous boat tour that takes visitors directly into the mist at the base of Niagara Falls. The 20-minute cruise sails past American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls before heading into the powerful spray of Horseshoe Falls. Passengers receive a complimentary poncho as the boat gets incredibly close to the crashing water and heavy mist. It’s one of the most iconic experiences at Niagara Falls, allowing visitors to feel the roar, power, and scale of the falls from the water itself.
