Stop at: Johnston Canyon
A beautiful spot for hiking, Johnston Canyon is a deep, narrow gorge with waterfalls cascading down its rock walls. The trail follows the canyon’s path, leading to both the Lower Falls and Upper Falls. It’s particularly breathtaking in the fall when the leaves turn vibrant colors, or in winter when the waterfalls freeze into ice sculptures. Activities: Hiking the Johnston Canyon Trail Ice walking (in winter) Photography of the waterfalls
Stop at: Natural Bridge
Also located in Yoho National Park, the Natural Bridge is a stunning rock formation where the Kicking Horse River has carved out a bridge of stone. It’s a great spot for photos, as the water rushes dramatically underneath the arch.
Stop at: Emerald Lake
Emerald Lake, located in Yoho National Park, is known for its striking green waters, created by mineral-rich runoff from the surrounding mountains. It’s a quieter, more serene spot compared to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, perfect for those looking for a peaceful escape.

Stop at: Moraine Lake
(Open from June 1 to Oct 14)A short drive from Lake Louise, Moraine Lake is equally famous for its vibrant turquoise waters framed by the stunning Valley of the Ten Peaks. It’s especially beautiful during sunrise and sunset when the surrounding mountains reflect off the water’s surface.
