What to Expect
Stop at: Mount Robson Provincial Park and Protected Area
Meet the Maligne Rafting bus at the Mount Terry Fox Rest Area, just outside Mount Robson Provincial Park. Your guides will provide your rafting gear and you'll change before boarding the bus for the short shuttle to the Fraser River launch. With Mount Robson as your backdrop, receive a safety briefing and paddle instruction before beginning your rafting adventure.
Stop at: Fraser River
Launch onto the mighty Fraser River and work together with your guide as you paddle through exciting Class 3+ whitewater, punching through sections of large rolling rapids with calmer stretches between each set. Offering the biggest whitewater in the Jasper area, the trip is suitable for first-time and experienced rafters alike.
Stop at: Rearguard Falls
About midway through the rafting adventure, step ashore for a short portage around impressive Rearguard Falls. Stretch your legs and take in views of the powerful falls before returning to the raft for the most exciting section of the river.
Stop at: Fraser River
Back on the Fraser River, enter the lower canyon and tackle some of the biggest and most exciting whitewater of the trip. After the final rapids, enjoy a gentler float toward the take-out, with the opportunity for an optional swim. At the end of the rafting trip, board the Maligne Rafting bus for the short transfer back to the Mount Terry Fox Rest Area. Change out of your rafting gear, return to your vehicle and continue your journey independently—ideal for exploring the Mount Robson area or travelling west after your rafting adventure.
