What to Expect
Pass by: Castle Junction
"As you journey through Banff National Park, Castle Mountain looms majestically in the distance, its towering cliffs a breathtaking sight. A glance reveals its dramatic beauty, a true highlight of the alpine landscape."
Stop at: Abraham Lake
The mesmerizing Abraham Lake, famous for its stunning ice bubbles that form beneath the lake's surface during winter. These bubbles, created by the decomposition of organic matter, freeze in place, resulting in a striking visual display of suspended bubbles. Your guide will lead you onto the frozen lake, where you’ll have ample time to explore and photograph. Witness the intricate patterns and formations in the ice, and learn about the science behind this unique phenomenon.
Stop at: Icefields Parkway
After your ice bubble exploration, board the vehicle for a picturesque drive along the Icefields Parkway, often hailed as one of the most scenic highways in the world. This stretch of road boasts dramatic mountain peaks, sprawling forests, and icy rivers that shimmer in the winter sun.
Stop at: Saskatchewan River Crossing
we will stop here for lunch and shopping, the cost of food is not included in the tour.
Stop at: Peyto Lake Trail
The trailhead for the trek to the Peyto Lake viewpoint, known for its striking heart-shaped outline and stunning turquoise waters that are often frozen in winter. The hike is moderate, taking you through a beautiful forest blanketed in snow, with occasional breaks for panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Stop at: Bow Lake
A stunning glacial lake nestled between majestic mountain peaks, Bow Lake is known for its vibrant turquoise waters, particularly during the summer months. In winter, it offers a serene, snow-covered landscape.
Stop at: Crowfoot Glacier
The Crowfoot Glacier Viewpoint offers a lovely glimpse of the glacier, making it a quick and worthwhile stop along the Icefields Parkway.
Stop at: Lake Louise
Lake Louise is a hamlet in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies, known for its turquoise, glacier-fed lake ringed by high peaks and overlooked by a stately chateau. Hiking trails wind up to the Lake Agnes Tea House for bird's-eye views. There's a canoe dock in summer, and a skating rink on the frozen lake in winter.
Stop at: Banff National Park
Return Journey: Relax and Reflect: As you make your way back along the Icefields Parkway and Banff national park, take a moment to reflect on the day’s adventures and share stories with fellow travelers. The return journey provides additional opportunities for stunning photography as the lighting changes with the setting sun. If we have extra time we will stop at an additional place.
