In 2025 we start a historical tour of the Old Levis followed by a discovery of the farmers market of Lévis. This discovery of fresh and processed products by farmers in Chaudière-Appalaches and Bellechasse is a new visit. These visits take place on Sunday mornings from July 6 to September 21. We offer a discount for the first two Sundays if you book in advance. Here is a different way to experience your summer weekends. We organize the same type of discovery with tasting on summer Saturdays at the Cap-Rouge market in Quebec City. Our mission as a non-profit organization is to encourage the local economy by introducing places outside the city circuit. We are part of the social economy because we believe that visits outside of touristic places allow us to discover new places while encouraging local shops. Stop at: Eglise Notre-Dame de la Victoire

20 min

We begin with the history of Canada, Levis and the influence of religion during our 400 years. When the church is open, the guide will show you around after Mass.

Stop at: Musee de la Maison Alphonse-Desjardins

20 min Admission not included

We explain the influence of the Desjardins movement founded by Alphonse and Dorimène Desjardins in 1900. As the house and the Desjardins Building are closed on Sundays, this historical explanation is made outside.

Stop at: Avenue Bégin

20 min

Discovery of the built heritage in Old Levis. Explanation of the renovations carried out over the past 10 years. We stop looking at the opulent houses where the rich people lived at the time.

Stop at: Côte du Passage

15 min

Discovery of the place of passage to the Lévis - Quebec ferry. This path created what was the city center of Lévis a century ago.

Stop at: Marché fermier Ostara du Vieux Lévis

40 min

The historical tour ends with the discovery of the Terrace of Lévis and the history of the Knight of Lévis. This historical part lasts 20 minutes. Then we go to discover the farmers market of the city of Lévis for another 20 minutes with tasting of a dish and a drink.

A tasting dish is prepared by a different farmer every week. In addition, this dish is accompanied by a different drink depending on the week. Variety from Sunday to Sunday
Sparkling drink, fresh apple juice, non-alcoholic cider or berry wine depending on the week.

NOT INCLUDED

Tipping is at your discretion according to your appreciation of the guide and our Sunday tour.

The church has a ramp, once inside there are uneven surfaces. The terrace of Lévis offers access for people with reduced mobility with a longer journey on small stone paths.
