Stop at: Parliament House Ottawa
Discover Canada’s Parliament Hill in Ottawa, the country’s political heart and one of its most iconic landmarks. Admire the stunning Gothic Revival architecture, learn about Canada’s history and democracy, and enjoy beautiful views over the Ottawa River.
Stop at: West Block Of Parliament
**Canada’s House of Commons is currently located in the historic West Block on Parliament Hill while the Centre Block undergoes major renovations. The chamber has 343 seats representing electoral districts across the country, with Ontario holding the largest number of representatives. During our visit, we will join a guided tour of the building, and if Parliament is in session and seats are available, we may also have the opportunity to watch the proceedings from the public gallery—something that has been possible on every visit I’ve done with tourists so far.**
Stop at: The Senate Of Canada
The Senate of Canada is currently located in the Senate of Canada Building, the historic former Union Station near Parliament Hill, while the Centre Block undergoes major renovations. During our visit, we will take part in a guided visit of the building, and if the Senate is in session and seats are available, we may also have the opportunity to observe the proceedings from the public gallery.
Stop at: ByWard Market
**Visit the lively ByWard Market, one of Ottawa’s oldest and most iconic districts, founded in 1827. This vibrant area is home to hundreds of local shops, market stalls, cafés, and restaurants, offering a perfect place to experience Ottawa’s food, culture, and local atmosphere.**
Stop at: Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica
Visit the magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica, the oldest and largest church in Ottawa. Known for its stunning Gothic Revival architecture, beautiful stained-glass windows, and impressive interior, it is one of the city’s most important historic and spiritual landmarks.
Stop at: Rideau Canal National Historic Site
**Discover the Rideau Canal, one of Ottawa’s most iconic landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
