While we stand on our rapidly spinning planet, which is careening through the Milky Way Galaxy at 500,000 miles per hour, we'll look up into the dynamic star-adorned firmament above. There we'll see a beautiful juxtaposition of a floating moon, flaming meteors, empyreal planetary orbs and soaring satellites against an ancient mythological tapestry. This live-action tour takes you on an exciting imaginary voyage through outer space to see and understand celestial sights. How far away are the stars we see? How can we know their distances? Are we seeing the constellations as they were seen by Homer and the people who built Stonehenge? What does the darkness between the stars tell us about the age of the Universe? Are we all literally made of stardust? Bring your questions and your curiosity as we offer laser focused guidance through the night sky.
