In winter, the lake was largely frozen in ice, and the landscape was blanketed in untouched snow.

(Summer only)Takakkaw Falls is a must-see attraction in Yoho National Park. You can easily reach the falls with a short 10 to 15-minute walk from the car park. This makes it one of the tallest single-drop waterfalls in Canada. The name "Takakkaw" comes from the Cree word that means "wonderful " reflecting the beauty of this natural wonder. The beauty of the falls and the surrounding scenery make this a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers alike. It will change to Marble Canyon in winter.

(Winter only) In winter, Marble Canyon is especially beautiful because of all the snow formations in the Marble Canyon. During the winter, Marble Canyon creates a magnificent landscape of snow-covered rock formations, while the deep blue river below remains unfrozen. A couple of bridges connect the canyon, allowing you to hike a few short loops. Put on your crampons, experience the icewalk, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the canyon.
