Today, we will explore the Icefields Parkway! First, we’ll stop at Big Bend Lookout for a breathtaking view of the North Saskatchewan River Valley.
Stop at: Columbia Ice Field
Then, we’ll head to the Columbia Icefield, the largest icefield in the Rocky Mountains at 325 square kilometres, where we’ll hike to the toe of the Athabasca Glacier (conditions permitting).
Stop at: Sunwapta Falls and Canyon
Afterward, we’ll stop at Sunwapta Falls (parking permitting), a stunning pair of waterfalls surrounded by rugged wilderness. Next, we’ll visit Athabasca Falls, a powerful waterfall known for its dramatic beauty.

Our day’s journey concludes in Banff, where we’ll spend the night in this iconic mountain town, nestled in the very heart of the Rockies.

Along the way, take in breathtaking views of rugged landscapes, lush forests, towering mountains, and crystal-clear lakes. Upon arrival in Whistler, which hosted events of the 2010 Winter Olympics, the majestic Coast Mountains will provide a dramatic backdrop for the evening ahead.
