What to Expect
Stop at: Brockville Court House
Guests will explore Brockville’s stately courthouse and walk along Courthouse Avenue, one of the city’s most distinguished heritage streets. Through interpretation by the Brockville Museum, they will examine the architecture and discover how law, commerce and civic ambition shaped the surrounding streets and Brockville’s development as a regional centre.
Stop at: Pau Hana Coffee
Step inside Pau Hana Coffee, located in the historic King Street storefront that housed Steacy’s Jewellers from 1867 and later Wingfield’s. Enjoy the character of the beautifully preserved space while relaxing with a beverage of your choice. Your beverage is included.
Stop at: Brockville Railway Tunnel
Guests will walk through Canada’s first railway tunnel beneath downtown Brockville, accompanied by interpretation from the Brockville Museum. Colourful lighting illuminates the stone walls while music and the sound of dripping water create an atmospheric passage. Along the way, guests will discover how the railway connected Brockville’s waterfront to inland trade and what the tunnel’s construction reveals about the town’s nineteenth-century ambition.
Stop at: St. Lawrence Park
Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the St. Lawrence River at St. Lawrence Park. Relax by the waterfront while enjoying a locally prepared lunch and views across the river before continuing the tour. Lunch is included.
