Skip the logistics and meet us in downtown Canmore — we handle everything else. After a full safety briefing and paddle lesson at our Railway Ave shop, ride with your certified guide 45 minutes into Kananaskis Country and launch onto some of the most reliable whitewater in the Canadian Rockies.

The dam-controlled Kananaskis River runs consistent Class II-III rapids all summer: splashy, continuous, and exciting without being intimidating. It's the ideal first whitewater rafting trip — and one of the only rivers in the Rockies where kids as young as 6 can join, making it the region's most family-friendly rafting adventure. Between rapids, float beneath canyon walls and watch for bald eagles, deer, and the occasional bear on the banks.

Your certified guide handles the technical work while you paddle, laugh, and get soaked. Wetsuits, wetsuit jackets, neoprene booties, helmets, and PFDs are all provided — just bring a swimsuit, towel, and shoes that can get wet. Trips run with as few as one guest, so solo travelers are always welcome.
