What to Expect
Stop at: Lighthouse Park
I will guide guests in Forest Bathing as walk among the 500 year old ancient giants(70 m tall Douglas firs and western red cedars) . We make our way through the park enjoying the coastal arbutus trees and ocean vistas of Howe Sound to the west and then the Vancouver city vistas across Burrard inlet to the east. My intimate knowledge of this forest, allows me to guide participants to feel more peaceful and connected, more grounded and settled.
Stop at: Whytecliff Park
At Whytecliff park we enjoy the stunning Vistas of Howe Sound and coastal Islands, we will then make our way down to the beach for some beach combing in the first marine protected area in Canada. Chances are will encounter some harbour seals and other wildlife.
Stop at: Porteau Cove Provincial Park
After all the excitement we can settle down for a locally sourced healthy packed lunch with Chai tea at Porteau Cover overlooking Howe Sound and coastal mountains. We can simply take in the view or do some beach-coming after lunch.
Stop at: Shannon Falls Provincial Park
After lunch we continue our journey to Squamish where we will experience Shannon Falls which rises 335 meters above Highways 99, making it the third highest falls in the province.
Stop at: Squamish
We then take a pit stop at the Caffe Garibaldi we can enjoy the stunning cliff face of the Stawamus Chief (also known as The Chief) is the giant 710 meter-high monolith that looms over Highway 99 and downtown Squamish. Carved in granodiorite that cooled beneath the ceiling of the early Coast Mountains, The Chief is the second-largest granite monolith in the world.
