What to Expect
Stop at: Bow Valley Parkway
From the moment you step into our comfortable, spacious vehicle, your small-group adventure begins. No need to worry about the details—your personalized tour has been thoughtfully planned to offer you the best experience possible. Once everyone is picked up, we’ll travel along the Bow Valley Parkway, a scenic stretch of road that was once the original highway connecting Banff and Lake Louise. This beautiful route winds through forested landscapes and is a popular area for wildlife sightings (no guarantees), adding an extra layer of discovery to the journey. We’ll also make a short stop at Morant’s Curve, giving you time to stretch your legs, enjoy the iconic mountain views, and perhaps catch a glimpse of a passing train while enjoying a coffee or tea from the van. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating stories about the land’s wildlife, history, and ecology, offering a deeper connection to the breathtaking landscapes you’re about to explore.
Stop at: Moraine Lake
Upon arrival at Moraine Lake, we’ll welcome you with a warm beverage to enjoy in the crisp mountain air. As the morning light reveals the turquoise waters and towering Ten Peaks, you’ll immediately understand why this is one of Canada’s most celebrated destinations. Unlike most tours, you’ll have up to four full hours here, giving you the freedom to truly immerse yourself in its beauty. Your guide will lead you to the Rockpile Viewpoint for that world-famous panorama, then the rest of the time is yours to enjoy as you wish. Hike to Consolation Lakes for a peaceful alpine escape surrounded by rugged peaks, or tackle the Larch Valley Trail, one of Banff National Park’s most iconic hikes. In mid-September to early October, this trail transforms into a golden wonderland as thousands of larch trees turn vibrant yellow—a must-see for fall visitors. Prefer a gentler pace? Stroll the lakeshore trail, rent a canoe, or simply find a quiet spot to take it all in.
Pass by: Banff National Park
When it’s time to leave, you’ll settle back into the vehicle for a relaxed return journey. Along the way, your guide will share personalized recommendations for activities and hidden gems in Banff National Park, ensuring you leave not only with incredible memories but also with inspiration for what’s next. This is more than just a visit to Moraine Lake—it’s an opportunity to slow down, explore deeply, and experience one of the most breathtaking places on Earth at your own pace.
