Day 1: Christmas Village & Bavarian Dining

Stroll through the village beneath festive lights, browse specialty shops for gifts and treats, and stop at a cozy café for a warm drink. Take time to enjoy the seasonal decorations, photograph the colourful streets, and soak up the holiday atmosphere before meeting your guide at the designated time.

• Step into Ludwig's German Restaurant, an authentic biergarten that captures the festive spirit of Leavenworth through Bavarian décor, warm hospitality and a fun dining atmosphere. The menu features hearty German favourites, including its well-known Schweinshax'n, traditional sausages, strudel and other satisfying dishes. Depending on the restaurant's entertainment schedule, guests may also experience polka music or accordion performances that add extra Bavarian charm.

Day 2: Salmon Heritage, Icicle Creek Scenery & Return to Vancouver

• Discover Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery, established in 1940 and once the largest fish hatchery in the world. Learn about its continuing work raising spring Chinook salmon and its important connection to the history and natural environment of the Icicle Valley. Explore the public hatchery grounds and enjoy a scenic nature walk beside Icicle Creek. Surrounded by open pine forest, meadows and Cascade Mountain scenery, guests can appreciate the peaceful winter landscape, take photographs and look for local wildlife. The hatchery grounds are open to the public year-round. Access to particular trails or outdoor areas remains subject to weather, snow, safety conditions and site operations.

• Step back into the 1950s at 59er Diner & Cabins, a colourful retro roadside diner where classic American character, nostalgic décor and comforting favourites create a fun and memorable lunch experience. The diner is especially celebrated for its old-fashioned hand-spun milkshakes, available in an extensive variety of flavours ranging from traditional chocolate and strawberry to distinctive choices such as blackberry, root beer, mocha and wild cherry.
